Adjust position of wrapper

  • Adjust position of wrapper

    Posted 15 years 9 months ago
    • Hi Guys,

      I'm using a wrapper on the web site (vortex template) I made for the company I work for, but I'd like to lower the position of the wrappers by about 10-20 pixels.

      Take a look at xxx

      See how the page that it loads looks like it should be a few pixels lower.

      Does anyone know how I can move the wrapper down a bit?

      Thanks

    • Is this what you want?

      #mainbody .padding {template_css.css (line 273)
      padding:27px 12px 0 5px;
      }

    • Hi Prim,

      That's not quite what I meant.

      See how the start of the wrapper is still next to the circle bullet point. I'd like that section (the start of the white) go be about 20 pixels lower...

      Thanks

    • Can you provide a screenshot of what you are seeing now and provide annotations on what should be done? :)

    • Hi Prim,

      Yep.

      Take a look at the attached screenshot.

      See how the white section (the wrapper itself) looks like it needs to be 20 pixels lower?

    • Ok, try this:

      body {site.css (line 6)
      color:#000000;
      font-family:Tahoma;
      font-size:11pt;
      padding-top:20px; <-add this
      }

    • Hi Prim,

      I may be having a blonde moment or something, but I can't find the file site.css...

      Does the file have a different name? I tried looking for all the css files, but couldn't find which one I should be editing...

      Thanks

    • Hi Prim,

      No wonder I couldn't find it! Bugger though, as I don't have access to change that CSS file. I'll have to contact the webmaster of the usage site...

      What about the other wrapper on the site?

      Thanks
