    Good-news and Bad-news

Posted 16 years 2 months ago
    • I thought I would share with everyone the news I got yesterday.

The good-news= I have no visible signs of cancer and am declared to be in Full-Remission.
The bad-news= My immune system has not recovered from my bone-marrow transplant. In fact, I have only 10% of the T-cells and anti-bodies of that of a normal person. Therefore, any minor infection or virus would make me VERY sick and my doctor refused to let me go back to work. He said, in fact, that it would be foolish for me to return to work at this time. I guess I am "house-bound" for a longer period than I had hoped.

Keep me in your thoughts and prayers. I am determined to beat this!

    • Don't give up Robert.

      Both my parents survived cancer.

The treatment is harsh and the recovery is long, but hang in there!

I'll say a prayer for you today.

      :)

    • Good luck Robert, keep fighting.

and keep your keyboard clean. Mine could be considered a biological warfare factory in between cleaning sessions.
