Some glitches in the matrix, sir...sure it will be worked out.
Perhaps a ploy to get us all to use Google webmaster tools a bit more, as I sure spent a lot of time on there today trying to figure out all the 'wtf' issues I was seeing...glad I am not alone in a 'misery loves company' sort of way.
...seemed to be sorting out the major PR updates and the like from yesterday/today, too.

- Not sure how much difference it makes, i do manual pings on pingomatic.com of my sites, and i have feedburner set up for rss feeds on one of my sites which auto pings services too when new articles are added to the rss feeds.
