referral links in Profile signature

howdy, I asked this question via support and was requested to post here i guess so the answer is search-able.
I want to confirm that it is OK to include a referral link to my stock photography portfolio in my rockettheme profile.
I read the guidelines and interpret it to mean a referral link self promotion is OK in profile but not OK in a signature.
slap me with a X asap if you want me to remove or change it.
