    • Does anyone know how the "Who's Online" module determines it's stats? I know I shouldn't use them for analytics and I do use Woopra, but I'm curious as to how this module determines who is online.

    • I've often wondered this. I know that it still shows you online up to 5 minutes after you've left the site.

      I think that it actually registers visits to different pages rather than individual visitors. If you think about it, you often see a website with 500 members online, and something like 2 1/2 thousand guests. I think that it is registering members moving around the website, or maybe hitting on the front page. I could be totally wrong, but I have monitored my website quite a few times and when there's quite a lot of members, there are sometimes lots of guests.
