Need a newsletter functionality

    • I have several clients who want a decent newsletter solution for thier joomla sites. All Im looking for is something that will take the subscribers details, and send them a autoresponder with the first newsletter!
I have tried letterman but their seems to be a bug in it! as after a subscriber signs up they get a message saying that the welcome email couldn't be sent! this is on all the sites and servers I've tried it on so Rocketeers WHAT DO YOU USE?

Please any suggestions are good ones especially if their is a free or at least cheap easy solution!

      Thanks in advance!

    • There is a bug in the older release in Letterman (it can be fixed with a minor code change) - this is however fixed in the latest RC (1.2.4 I think) and the component works great - I use it on a few sites.

Ajacoom seems more comprehensive but I tried in vain to get it to send a subscriber confirmation email and it just wouldn't do it (although the newsletters did send, bizarrely)...so I have to give up and use Letterman which worked perfectly.

    • Guys thanks for your great response! I tell you this forum reminds me of a forum I used to be on a while back...It alone is worth the cost of club membership/access.

Dan thanks for that info...this must have been a very new release as I was only using and installing versions of the older release 1.2.3 a month or so ago. I ust installed the new version on 3 sites and its working as it should! Without you tellng me the new revision number I would have almost given up hope.

Noblecode, Thanks too, I too am awaiting the new release of acajoom. while it is an ok newsletter componant, it is much to much for some of my clients learning curves. they really like it easy...like me ;)

    • I actually go with Intellicontact. Worth the price.
