Finding Time for Joomla

    • I pull shift work and have three toddlers, one of them is still on the boob. I find it so hard to find time for my precious hobby these days. I've already given up on my music, and dangit, I'm not giving up on my websites!

For those of you with hectic life styles, how the heck do you manage to still do your day job, take care of your family (or whatever else it is that takes priority), and still manage to update your websites?

    • While I'm away from the computer in the back of my mind I make a 'to do' or 'want to try' list.

Just because you're not sitting in front of the computer doesn't mean you can't be thinking about what to do next.

Actually, some of my best work is done while riding the train or walking home from the station.....

    • I often find that the best ideas pop into your head when you're not actually in front of the computer

    • I have a 2.5 year old girl and and my older daughter is starting school this fall. I feel you.

For me, my time to really get into Joomla and my sites is an ebb and flow. It comes and goes. I wish I had more time as well but JEM's advice is good. I also try to take notes on the subway or sitting at lunch. Whatever. It helps me prioritize my options as time permits.

You will figure it out. Hint- Send them on a family vacation and stay home for a week. I just did, and have 72 whole hours left to myself. LOL.

      Good luck.

    • How about a one-stop-site for everything a Joomla! professional, developer, user, or creative could ever want in a site? Built in part for exactly what your situation appears to be. Yeah, it's new, but it's already got over 900+ internal links.
