I think RokBox has tremendous potential to our site (TV/Video/Film production in the K-12 school environment) but am having trouble visualising how we would use it. Perhaps this is a sign of geezer-itis, If any of you have any thoughts, ideas, examples, ANYTHING: I would love to hear from you.
You can see our site at www.school-video-news.com Currently, we just use embed code from YouTube or SchoolTube but I think Rocket Theme as always, has a much more elegant idea.

Hmmm you can use RokBox to display your YouTube movies that way you can freely manipulate with thumbnail (or button) you would use to activate RokBox and your movies would be displayed nicely with RokBox

Thanks, Jakub! Thats what i was thinking. i did play around with it since my post and have a better understanding. One thing: If we use YouTUbe there is NO thumbnail correct? If thats the case, can we use a jpg and imbed the roxbox code in it? In other words, they would click on the jpg and the vid would play in RB.

Please check the examples here :

under the "Video - YouTube" section. You can create either a thumbnail for each video or text button, so the decision is only yours.

Good Morning, Jakub:
Well, Im making progress! I have a small problem. When I put in this string;
{rokbox title=|Profile :: Niagara County CC| thumb=|images/stories/October2009/VidIntro.jpg| size=|854 505|}}
Everything works except it does NOT pull the YouTube vid. Rather it opens and shows our website, www.school-video-news.com I think SOMTHING is not right?

Hi John,
RokBox is not pulling your vid because the link you provided is wrong. You can check that by pasting it in your web browsers address bar

WOW great minds think alike! I have been playing around and came up with the same soultion and it WORKS! Here is the code so far:
{rokbox title=|Profile :: Niagara County CC| thumb=|images/stories/October2009/VidIntro.jpg| size=|854 505|}}
BUT: Now the surrounding screen does not darken. Ill leave the test up for a few minutes so you can check it out.
