SOLVED: How to change the ie6 warn message?

Posted 15 years 7 months ago
    • Hi,

I'm trying to change the message displayed with ie6 warn extension. Already changed the text in the rokie6warn.js located at ../template/template_name/js/rokie6warn.js but the message displayed on browser still the same. Clear cache doesn't help. So, any help would be appreciated 8)

    • Already tried that before but didn't work. Restarted computer, tried from another computer...

I wonder if there is another ie6 warn file somewhere that is necessary to modify?

    • This is the message i get in IE6.

NOTE: FMO is not compatible with IE6; you have to use a newer browser.

Internet Explorer 6 was released in August of 2001, and the lastest version of IE6 was released in August of 2004. By continuing to run Internet Explorer 6 you are open to any and all security vulnerabilities discovered since that date. In March of 2009, Microsoft released version 8 of Internet Explorer that, in addition to providing greater security, is faster and more standards compliant than both version 6 and 7 that came before it. The overall usage of Internet Explorer 6 has decreased to such a point that 2009 is the year in which web developers stopped supporting it, so please upgrade as soon as possible. It's for your own good!

      Download Internet Explorer 8 NOW!

    • Btw, i get "Error loading Modules:" in IE6 and Safari so you can add Safari to the rokie6warn.js ;)
