Answer this if you can? I've done a website for my mate. if I enter "Casio diving watches" the website comes up number one or number two on Google.co.uk. However, he can't even find a website on his computer when doing the same search on the same search engine.
Hey Penn - what's the site bit hard if I don't know what URL to look for. I would say it is either location or tailored search. Try logging out of Google and look again, same with mate but fill me in a little on the site or URL and will have a definitive answer for you...
Hey Penn - You are on page 2 with results only UK far less competitive but nowhere to be found on normal UK web search.
Now you could be the subject of tailored search as if you are logged into Google and you built the site there will defiantly be a little Google guessing going on there. Although this is not hard and fast either, to find out where the site 'really' is you need to query the actual data centres this way you remove any local targeting and tailored search.
There can be quite a bit of difference between two locations for the same query, for example my b-partner in Melbourne and me here in Brisbane see much difference to our core key phrases .
I don't understand Google, I really don't. However, considering the website is fairly niche, we do seem to get quite enough of hits via the search engines. I've just picked the first few key phrases that have generated the most hits. If you got a couple of minutes, see if you can find these, they are on the first page for me
