Hosting, RBL and cURL

I know that there are a few other topics on hosting, but I have a slightly different concern than most, so I figured I'd start a fresh topic.
I am currently working on a project that uses cURL to pull information from a legacy application, and put it into a snazzy Joomla! site. Unfortunately, the legacy app is hosted (nothing I can do about that), and it blocks certain IP ranges. My current server (I'll be leaving them soon) is denied access (RBL issue), which makes development much harder than it should be.
I have been considering Rochen, although their forum has been slow getting back to me as to whether or not this would be a problem. From what I can tell, they seem to run a pretty tight ship, so. . .
As a final thought, does anybody have experience with cURL and Joomla! integration? I've used cURL before, but I've not used it with Joomla! until now. I'm currently just using the wrapper, but before the project is down, I'll probably wrap it up in a module. - www.gofftech.com Web Design
