Another template modification needed

I've found someone to help us with this.
We are looking to pay someone to help us modify a template.
This website is for a guy that owns a successful home and commercial construction firm here in Pennsylvania. Recently, he has started doing business coaching and public speaking. He plans to write books, get speaking engagements, charge for consulting, etc. He wants to market himself well and feels that a "cutting edge" website is the way to go. This guy knows absolutely nothing about technology or websites. Part of the responsibility for making the site "cutting edge" is mine – I'll have to build him some cool interactive features. But part of that will also be a well modified template.
We plan on using Vortex, and feel it already contains some of the "cutting edge" features he is looking for.
We've already deisgned him a logo, so the template will need to be modified to match the look and feel of that logo. Quite a bit will need t be changed on the template because we do not want it to have the "cartoon" look.
