I've searched JED and can't quite find what I'm looking for and a quick search of the joomla forums showed only one hit and no answers. So the question I have is are any of you using a component or other work around to display an article of the day? I'm in need of a menu link that links to a new article each day. I'd also settle for a module that when clicked would bring up the article.
My thoughts were to use a category of articles and publish each one on a specific day and end publishing 23:59 minutes later, but how do I get the link to work? Don't really want a link to a category that the user then has to click the article.
Anybody done something along this line already? (I'm sure some of you have). Any pointers, assistance or recommendations would be greatly appreciated. I already ended up writing a php code snippet to do a specific quote of the day.
