    Restrict Backend Manager Access to components

    • Hi I'm looking for a way to restrict Manager access to certain components and menu items within the backend of Joomla, can anyone suggest a way of doing this?

    • Check the JED on joomla.org for a component that will allow you to do this.

      Look for 'ALC' components.

    • Many thanks, I had looked there but was really looking for any recommendations from people who have used and found a suitable component that doesnt crash your site.
      I did try one a few years back and it locked me out of everything and crashed my site despite emails to the author the matter was never resolved hence asking this question here hopefully I can avoid this happening again and find something that really does work?
