Hey all.
I was just wondering what you all are paying for yall web hosting and with who. I am trying to get an round about figure. I am reading that a lot of people have Hostgator. My site it going to have a forum picture gallery, Joomlasocial, and a componant upload and download, like this http://www.revitcity.com/downloads.php .
Oh and do anyone know how I can get my picture gallery to look like this. ( http://www.revitcity.com/gallery.php ). I want to be able to have all members pictures in one place and when you click on the picture you can see a description and add comments.

I use HostGator business plan.
Plenty of bandwidth, great support.
For your second question, doesn't seem to be a Joomla site / gallery extension.
For that, you'll need to search the JED at joomla.org for a gallery component that suits your needs. - Thanks,

I use Rochen - not the cheapest around, but the support is excellent, and their reliability is top rated.
I use Phoca gallery on my sites, so I can't help you with your second question.

I use 1and1.
Very reliable but if something does go wrong beware as the customer service is well as much use as a condom machine in the Vatican !
If anyone knows of a good UK Dedicated server host let me know as I will be making a migration in 6 months time...

) has its servers in both the UK and the USA. The customer (you) can choose to have their sites/servers in either place.
I also use The Planet ( www.theplanet.com ) for one of our dedicated servers. It has been excellent for the past 4 years - reliable and excellent tech support. It is a USA-based organisation.

Rochen has GREAT service but they're so stingy with the storage space, managing email becomes a hassle. They manage serverspace stringently which is great. They rarely have slowdowns or downtown. The storage limitations are just a pain in the ass tho.
Media Temple was also really good for me for a while but their service has been a serious headache lately. Their grid service defaults to PHP4 and switching to PHP 5 after joomla installation requires ssh via terminal.app. Also, since they're most recent server updates, I'm unable to restore sites via Akeeba (joomlapack). And their dedicated virtual service has been practically useless for me.
I'm currently looking for a go-to hosting company too.

Try heart internet, been with them for many years and they just rock, support tickets are normally answered within 30 mins.
I use their reseller package, clients paying 10 times over.
Not normally what you expect from a reseller package but they are the best in UK for me.

Seems they have the best reviews I can find for a UK Data center.

I mainly use Site5 with no major complaints...since they were taken over, customer service has greatly improved.
But I'm currently shopping around for another US host and also for a UK one to spread the IP's around.
