    • How do I use a xml-sitemap-file (generated bij RSSeo) to create a normal Joomla page with an overview of my site?

    • thanks for your answer Arifin, really appreciate that. 8)

      I know how to create a xml-file.

My problem is that I don't know how to use this xml-file to incorporate in a 'normal' Joomla page to show a sitemap on my own website.

    • Hello Pim,

Sorry, I am not sure I can get well your question. Could you please explain more what do you mean by the "normal" Joomla page?

    • Pim,

If you use RSSEo to create your map it only does it in xml format for search engines.

"The sitemap.xml file can be submitted to Google and Bing Webmaster accounts and the ror.xml file to Yahoo! Site Explorer"

I "think" what you mean is that you also want an HTML version for your users.

You can use x-map for Joomla that will create both an HTML version for your users and an xml version for the search engines.

      extensions.joomla.org/extensions/structu...gation/site-map/3066
      ..
That may be more along the lines of what you're looking for.

      Cheers,

      Rich

    • I don't know if this is any help for you but I use Xmap for my site map. It's quite straightforward, once the component is installed an XML site map link is automatically created for you. It's just a case of adding this into your Webmaster tools in Google, the section where you set up your site map. It really is so easy and only takes a couple of minutes. You then end up with the following

      www.oscarfishlover.com/sitemap

    • Hi,

thanks in advance for helping me so good!
I "think" what you mean is that you also want an HTML version for your users.

Yes, thats exactly what I meant to say.

In the meantime I tried Xmap and that's really the suitable tool for my wish.

One should expect that RSSeo has the same functionality in it, but apparently it's not the case.

All of you, thank you very much for your great support; you really helped me good. :D :D
