Any files changed by the update will likely overwrite any of these existing modifications. You should make a note of any and all of these changes so you can reapply them after the update. The rest of the update process should proceed as described in the previous section.

There should be an info box on the right-hand side that tells you which version of Gantry you are currently running, and if there is an update available. Another option would be to go to Admin -> Extensions -> Extensions Manager and use the Filter to find Gantry.

To access the Update menu, navigate to Administrator > Extensions > Extension Manager and select Update in the sidebar on the left side of the Extension Manager page (point 1 in figure below). From there, you will want to hit the Find Updates button (point 4) to get a complete list of extensions.
