SOLVED User registration, forgot password/username form

  • SOLVED User registration, forgot password/username form

Posted 14 years 10 months ago
    • Hello all,

Does anyone know how to get the user registration form etc to appear on a new page and not on the home page where it tends to be placed below all the front page modules etc making it difficult to see and not very apparent? The same applies to the forgot username/password etc. I would like it to appear on a fresh page with say only the top menu items, logo etc.

      Thanks in advance!

    • Hello,

I see you have the popup running? Is this what your referring too?

      Cheers

    • Hi Sean,

Thanks for your reply but no it's not what I was referring to. When a user clicks register or forgot password etc within that popup it takes them to the home page and puts the user registration form below all the front page modules so you have to scroll down to even see that it is there. Is it possible to redirect them to a clean page where the form is clearly visible?

      Thanks

    • Hello,

Joomla! is a menu driven layout system. The easiest solution to solve this would be to have a menu item for Registration or Login and then disable the modules for this page. Once they click on the forget password from the popup it should use this styling/module layout for the user.

I believe another way would be to also set which pages the modules appear on instead of all pages.

      Hope this helps! :)

      Cheers

    • Excuse me, I'm new on this  . Can you explain to me how to disable the modules for an especific page. I have the same problem in the registration form and forgot password/username form. When the user clicks register or forgot password etc within that popup it takes them to the home page and puts the user registration form below all the front page modules,

      Thanks!
