grunge collapsing sections issue

    • Thanks Rockettheme for a really great free template. Grunge is very cool.
I've built a site using it, although it is somewhat modified so far. I have one problem.
I'm trying to make the menu stay on the right (sidebar-c position) without any items published to the frontpage. I couldn't get it done by setting forced positions in the template so I made a blank document and posted it to the front page. Problem is I have allocated a semi transparent background to the body elements and now there's this bar of semi transparent black over the front of my home page.
I've tried to use a class suffix but either it's not working or I'm doing it wrong.
Check out the site here: www.bonniewhaley.com

      Thanks for any help!

    • hi there,

did you try to disable the frontpage component in the template parameters > advanced?

Thanks so much for your help. I did try that but if I do turn off the blank module I created to push the menu to the right, the menu collapses to the left. see attached image.
Is there a way to set that module to have a transparent background, overriding the template?

    • Hello,

Awesome site! love what you have done with grunge.

I was just digging through your html on the front page and i notice it seems you have something there published with a blank in the content-top position. this is causing that transparent bar.

would it be possible to get admin access pm'd?

      Cheers

Grunge is really nice, I actually prefer it with the whole rustic look but it was so easy to customise that I just had to use it. I love the way you guys build sites.

Thanks so much for taking a look at this. I do have a blank module posted on the front page because I couldn't find any other way to make the menu stay on the right. The menu is positioned to the sidebar-c position. (See the post above to Kat about this.) If you could suggest any way to make the menu stay on the right I'd be really grateful.
I tried using the template settings to force some positions but it doesn't have settings to force the relevant positions.

    • Hello,

Well i think the best way in this case would be to just hide the background which is appearing. Does the main-bottom position have the same background idea going on?

If not we could posting the module there.

      Cheers

    • Thanks for the feedback, I'll try that. Is there w way to override the background with a transparent background by using a suffix?
Could you give me some pointer about using it with this particular template?

    • Hello Ryan,

You could try using the -blank suffex

      Cheers
