WYSIWYG editor not working

  • WYSIWYG editor not working

Posted 14 years 8 months ago
    • I can't seem to get a WYSIWYG editor to work. I installed JCE and set it as the default, but it doesn't work. I selected the tinyMCE editor, but it doesn't worth either. i.e. when I try to create a new article. What am I missing here?

      Thanks.

    • hi richard,

what exactly do you mean with it is not working?
does it not show up at all when you edit an article or are certain functions not available.

you should also check the editor settings under > site > user manager > select user > set editor.

    • I set the editor as specified, but the functions do not show up in an article window. In fact no functions show up. All I have is a window where I have to write code, which I don't want to do.

    • Holy cow! I did the global thing ... didn't know that I needed to set it on a user level as well.

Lots of hidden things to learn, but it's nice to have people like you to help.

      Thank you, Kat.

    • ehe, glad this helped.

btw, in the user settings you can select: user editor = "select - editor", then the settings from the global configuration will apply for that user.

      Hello,

Can you give the same easy answer to drupal themes? :) Since I couldn't make wysiwyg editor to work in drupal.

      Thanks,
      Suren
