    SOLVED Rocksprocket not saving images

    Posted 10 years 2 months ago
    • Hello,

      After choosing images for a Rocksprocket 2.1.1 (Simple, Features) slideshow, I click Save & Close. When I re-open the module, all of my image/text selections have been removed, and I'm left with the starting screen. Module suffix, title, and module postion do remain, it is only the images/text I've input that are gone. This only occurs when I click Save & Close. Clicking only "Save" does not remove them, yet they do not display in the published module.

      I am using J3.3.3

      Thank you in advance!

    • Both your joomla and roksprocket versions are out of date - so update both (backup first). The clear server and browser cache and try again. If still no good Please would you post your URL, superuser id and pswd in the secure tab of your post and i'll have a look for you.

      Regards, Mark.

    • Thank you for the reply! I did upgrade both Joomla and RokSprocket to their latest versions, but unfortuanately, with the same results. I am able to use "Joomla Articles" to get a RokSprocket slideshow header published. I am not, however, able to replicate the typeface used on the demo using that method.

      I can certainly "make do" with the present slideshow, but I would like it to fill the entire top-portion of the browser, as on the demo. For guidence, I did put the demo up on a different URL, and (as far as I can tell) replicated the settings, yet the logo menu remains above the slideshow, rather than floating on top.

      If you have time, I would love some advice! I've included logon info in the secure portion of this posting.

      Thank you in advance for any help you can offer!

    • First please be aware that we do not offer support for third-party products. That said, I did check you site and could reproduce the issue. Then I checked the developers site and it clearly states on there that mightsites does not work with roksprocket.

      Regards, Mark.

    • Dear Mark,

      Thank you so much for checking... I certainly didn't intend to send you on a wild goosechase! The good news is that RokSprocket is working using the Joomla Articles method!

      Might you have an idea what I need to do so that the module dispays with the menu floating over the slideshow, as in the demo? Must an overide page be made for that? Or, are you chalking it up the incompatablitiy issue? Since I couldn't just modify the demo, I just want to be sure it's not a setting that I missed.

      Thank you again, for your effort!

    • Use this code...
      .fp-roksprocket-showcase.rt-block {
          margin-top: 0;
          padding-top: 0;
      }
      This is how to create a custom CSS compatible with Gantry 4...

      Simply create a file called "<TEMPLATENAME>-custom.css" and put this file in the CSS folder of the template (where <TEMPLATENAME> is the name of the template as seen in template manager e.g. rt_iridescent would be rt_iridescent-custom.css). GANTRY4 will automatically load this CSS file. If you wish, you can also have browser specific files by appending, for example, "-ie9" making the filename "<TEMPLATENAME>-custom-ie9.css"

      New questions = new topics now please to be fair to other members.

      Regards, Mark.
