SOLVED Grunge Template - Resizing issues

Hello all and thanks for help in advance!
We have a site here - анна-пряник.рф running Grunge template. It totally meets the needs so far, but I can't fight these 2 things:
1. Since we've changed top wood image to the same size one with different texture, it doesn't fill in properly, like it always leaves blank black space top right. With original image it's all ok, so I just can't understand what else could template find different if image size matches.
2. Maybe it's all about my screen resolution, but content part of the site is very narrow, like 1/3 of total screen size. I'm not sure if it shall be like that because the template is pretty old and free, or if it still can be fixed by some editing, or maybe my screen resolution is just too much (but further we go, more big screens arrive).
This image is hidden for guests.

1. your wood image show fine for me? In what browser are you seeing this (and version)? (see my screenshot).
2. The template is old and has a width of 960px max - so it is showing correctly as designed.

So wood seems to differ for screen/browser. I use Yandex Browser (the same Chrome) version 15.10.2454.3865, screen resolution 1920x1080.
About max width - got it, thanks! Thought something like that.
