SOLVED nav buttons on page break, joomla article

Posted 8 years 8 months ago
    • Hi,

I'm having difficulty in styling nav buttons on an article with a page break. Normal navigation between articles displays with the buttons left and right of the screen and if there is no prev or next page that text doesn't appear, just the one button. I wanted the same for this page with a page break (I suppose I could just split the 2 pages, but wanted to know how easy/difficult it would be to achieve what I want without doing that (it's nice to have all the info on one screen when editing).

buttons as I want them here - federal.uk/index.php/panasonic-kx-dt521
buttons that are just nasty here - federal.uk/index.php/products/telephony/hosted/hosted-features

I've tried inspecting the elements, but I'm no genius when it comes to this and all I managed to achieve was to get a margin above the button, but I couldn't get rid of the text for prev or even style it, so I've just removed that snippet from the custom scss and it's now just as when I started (I didn't want to confuse things if someone was taking a look)

      TIA

It looks like you attempted to copy the html code into the article? but if you compare the two the html code is not the same - The CSS is consistent, it's just the html that is not correct so use firebug to inspect the elements and reproduce identical code.

      Regards, Mark.

    • Hi Mark,

I've just split the article into 2.

As the styling problem was specific to a joomla article pagebreak I would have thought it to be a Joomla question rather than template specific. I didn't copy any html, I just used the pagebreak icon in the article editor to split the page, but for some reason this didn't inherit the template styling.

I can't mark this as solved as no answer was given apart from to renew my subscription.
