I have params.ini writable, but it still keeps going back to the position defaults on apply or save.\. What am I missing?
I searched, but didn't see this particular issue.
I can edit params.ini by hand, but I have no idea what to use to create the positions/proportions I need/want.
You can see in the attached image the settings I created (and the mainbody settings NEVER show me the ratio at all - I had to guess for 5:7) and saved. I got NO error message, but the second set is what I see (the defaults) when I open the template back up.
Yes, I know how they are supposed to work. What I'm saying is that they don't - in Quasar or Dominion on this site.
*smiles*
Firstly, the mainbody slider does not change when I move it. The proportions remain the same. For example, when I choose "2, I get "8|4", when I'd really like 5|7" and the slider moving does not give me a clue of the other numbers at all.
Secondly, when I posted the image above, you can see that I have certain positions chosen and proportions in place n the left side.
Hitting save gives me no errors, and gives me no change in the template when I go in to view/edit the template... as you can see on the right side.
So, I can't see what I am doing wrong, except that this is somehow not working at all in this site. And it's not the first time I've had trouble. In fact, I started with a reaction template on another site (it's why I joined), and went back to a pre-gantry template because they are not functioning properly on this end.
Firefox 3.6.3 on a Mac.
Any help or suggestions are appreciated.

That's my point. It doesn't save on ANY of them. I've tried both Quasar and Dominion in this install, but I've had similar problems on other sites and servers with Gantry templates, trying them out to see if it was a singular occurrence.
I'm very frustrated. Although I'm in a new screen name, I've been a RocketTheme member off and on since Joomla 1.o, and I've never had these kind of problems that were not easily solved.
