Errors on Fresh Install of Gantry 2.3.12 and RT Extensi 1.7

Hi! Gantry Errors being thrown from a clean/fresh installation Joomla 1.7.3.x
1. Site: www.lazyimperium.com
2. Gantry Framework for Joomla 1.7x (your 2.3.12 (from site as of 12/2/2011)
3. Fresh install of latest ZEPHYR Template 1.7
4. Fresh install of latest 1.7 extensions available from site.
5. Validate configuration with recommendations, all within parameters (see config info at bottom)[/list]
ERROR!:
I've duplicated this error from 3 separate/clean installations. The error appears from the ADMIN/Extension Manager/ Manage/(all pages loaded - then select all)/Refresh Cache function is then executed/checked and these errors appear. Thoughts?

Hi Prim:
I did not check, before posting, as I am using standard installation procedures which are basic, so I really wanted to just "chase this down" to root cause, as because I am performing what anyone would else would perform. Aside from a server configuration issue (which should not happen because of the clean installation of Joomla, and the extensions and template), I would not be able to explain the error.
So, with that said, I just went to validate, and your assumption was correct: the files do not exist.
So, confirming the files are not there, I just loaded, again, the Gantry Framework stand-alone file, and it installed successfully to see if it would solve the issue.
Gantry Library installation was successful
Gantry Component update was successful
Gantry System Plugin update was successful
So from the installation perspective of the Gantry Extension, it states installation was successful. Now to confirm if in fact is laid the correct missing file down onto the questions directory: No, it did not.
I then went to look at the permissions of the sub-directory "/components/com_gantry/": it is reporting as 755 [(user permission = read/write/execute), (group permission = read/execute), (other permission = read/execute)].
Noting that both the Group and Other permissions were not configured for "write" access, I changed them to include write, with read/execute) (i.e. validating the permissions were 777 for the folder). With that change I again repeated the load of Gantry into the extensions, with confirmation it completed successfully. However, upon refresh and confirmation of the sub-directory on the server, the missing file which is reported in the error, is still not present in the corresponding folder noted in the error.

Ok, after a few hours of research, I have come up with this thus far; appears there was a bug fixed in 1.6 that specifically addressed this issue with the refresh cache in the administrator panel under manage. I've fired off an email to the people involved with that fix in the joomladev.org. Maybe you have another way to get a bug formally submitted, not sure. If you do, may be worth while. I have found this to be an issue for various people who have been reporting problems over the past few weeks on 1.7.3x - and they all have "new installations" in common with me. So I'm guessing the full package install of 1.7.3 may contain a regression bug?

I think a regression bug is in the full install package of 1.7.3x. Can someone investigate? I am seeing random postings appearing in various places across the net, over the past few weeks, while researching this issue I've been hitting this week. Upon further investigation, it appears you had a similar issue appear in 1.6 and a change was made for it:

Not a member - but someone who is truly frustrated in that using Joomla this week, for the first time, has been such a bag experience. Feels like the old days of Windows 3.1! (yeah, I'm that old ). Could not subscribe to the dev.org so I thought I'd send you an email. My apologies if this is the wrong protocol to use.
