Thanks anyway, I appreciate it. Looks like I'll have to give XAMPP a try.

    • Hello Prim,

I got a bit sidetracked and only now am returning to this thread.

UNFORTUNATELLY, my XAMPP is still not working with my Winndows 7 64-bit (PC Dell Laptop)

I downloaded the XAMPP from the link you suggested above www.apachefriends.org/en/xampp-windows.html

After installing, I receive this error message (screen shot attached)

I don;t know what to do anymore, and need some help as soon as possible. I already missed a deadline, and am almost missing a second one..

The other comments above from DanG and JeffShinn (thanks!) are either too advanced or not helpful in my case.

What should I do now in order to be able to continue using RocketTheme in my computer?

Please consider in your reply that I am not a programmer..

      Thanks,
      Moses

    • Click on "Post reply", scroll down a bit and click on the tab that says "Upload attachment". You know how to do the rest right? :)

    • Hello Prim,

Thank you for your quick reply! I did not find the "Upload Attachment" tab before fore some reason, but now I found it.

I ended up downloading a new version of JOOMLA, following my "Joomla Quick Start" PDF article.

I am sending you many error screens now, so you can have a better idea of my challenge.

The websites I copied from my other computer that are under XAMPP/htdocs are not working when I write the command http://localhost/[my website] in my Browswer (Google Chrome).

I also copied the new Joomla download to a Joomla folder and it seems it accesses the Joomla initial configuration page.

I don't want to go ahead because I am wary of creating further problems or incompatibilities with my previous Joomla package installations from my websites in construction.

Based on the image shots I am sending you, do you know hw could I access again my website INTEGRAL_EYE (which is under a folder copied to XAMPP/htdocs) again in my new Windows 7 64-bit computer?

      Thanks for all,
      Moses

    • Continuation of the previous message:
Two more screenshots (maximum of attached images as only 3)

I am looking forward to your analysis of the 5 images and reply, based on the info I gave you!

      Thanks!

    • Hi Dan, what do you mean by giving me this link?

Do you or anybody in RocketTheme have any extra feedback to give me about my problem? I am stuck!!

      Thanks,

    • Continuation: Instead of giving me a list of links from Google (which anybody can access), I expect as a paying member of RocketTheme to have a little bit more of focused attention and support...
Since I have NO IDEA about my proble, I expect AT LEAST a feedback about it and IDEALLY a solution coming from moderratords that are more expert in XAMPP/JOOMLA than me..
If I can't have a support that can really help me to solve my problem (in a language that I can really understand), I will have to cancel my account in RocketTheme (which I just renewed today) and dispute in in my credit card for a refund.. :( (
