    • What do you think the reasons for the decline of flash based websites? I used to see a LOT of them, now I see only a handful.

    • 1. The "coolness factor" is gone.
      2. You can do pretty much the same stuff with other web technologies.
      3. Flash sites are bad for SEO.
      4. On 99.9% of all Flash sites it is impossible to search for content easily.
      5. Most Flash sites are slow compared to HTML.

      The same happened with Java applets :cheesy:

      If the first thing I see when visiting a site is that loading circle, I'm gone before it finishes. I don't care how long it takes to load.
