General use of Login popup but without Login?

Is there a combination of rokxxx modules that will allow me to accomplish exactly what the popup login of Crystalline accomplishes, but with some custom HTML instead of the login module?
I'm trying to provide an easily accessible popup for my users to view some dynamic information that this ability would accomplish perfectly.
As far as I can tell, it relies heavily on some CSS in the Crystalline template, so if it requires a hack in that template for now, that's fine, though if there's a more general approach that would (of course) be much better.
