    Localhost vs. Online Server

    • How problematic do you think producing your website offline, on localhost, could be once you're set to go online ?

      Addressed especially at members experienced as such, how hard were the compatibility problems you've encountered ?

      Is it unwise to produce a website at a totally different environment ?

    • It's no problem.

      Developing a site locally or in a sub folder or sub directory is always recommended.

      When you have your dev site ready to go live, we always suggest using Akeeba backup to move your site (from localhost or the sub folder or sub directory).

      www.akeebabackup.com/

      Akeeba will create an installer package with the contents of your site as well as the DB similar to a stock Joomla install or a Rocket Launcher install.

    • Yes that's right.

      It will work the same as a standard Joomla install or a Rocket Launcher.

      You just need to upload the files, create a DB, and run the install.
