- Ok, so we've done quite a few modules over the last few months. Does anyone know of a cool effect or feature that they would love to see in an RT template? Think tings similar to RokSlide, RokZoom, RokLatest, RokMooMenu, etc... Listening for ideas...

OK,, Im see your looking for simple type mod ideas... and this may seem extreme.
but I have looked all over,, and I have tried to hack together different mods but to no avail.
there is a great great need for people like myself running a community driven site using Joom and Community Builder and Fire board.
I wish like heck I could have a gallery that exists in CB ( Image, gallery and video, you tube etc etc ) display the latest, highest ranked in modual in joom etc etc etc,, and also would allow for up loading, viewing and rating and commenting on inside fireboard.
I think Fireboard will be the board of boards someday for Joom,,, I think the guy that writes a comprehensive CB Community style gallery / commenting system could charge what ever price he wants..
I know I would pay,,, it is the last elusive function that I can just not get in my community site
Im telling you this in hope,,, you have the gift of code,, while I do not,,,, so all I can do is beg

I would like to see RokSlideshow+Music with on screen options to mute, increase and decrease volume parameters.
Same RokSlideshow+Music mambot/plugin so one could place it anywhere in content. - VirtueShop

- I would like an ajax based module to show lastest news OR more popular OR online users OR lastest registered users (CB) OR lastest posts in fireboard, etc. The choice of query should be simply in the backend. This module should be copied to show diferent infos.

I would like to see (not having a clue how easy or impossible this would be to do
) a new version of Rokzoom that worked as follows:
user clicks on thumbnail, larger size image zooms (oh so pretty) into view.
user can then choose to click on the larger size image for an even larger size image.
In addition, users can close the window by keystroke as well as the Close link.
Just off the top of my (somewhat pointed) head!

but with additional options for container entry direction* and time lapse+
* entry direction: option to set in which direction the container appears top, bottom, left or right
+ time lapse: option to show container after certain amount of time (time in seconds)
This could be a modification project for Daniel, if not love from RT - VirtueShop

Built In Kwick type menus or menus like on the mootools site
RockSlide with a timed feature or something simular to present news items

Floating Div modules for news and other alert type popups, but without the solid backgrounds and square bindings.
You know the type of stuff that floats across a page and then goes away
One of the neatest mambots I have seen lately allows for several moo type effects in content based on a single mootools install. I have this working on older Rocket Themes before there were mootools

Nice addition to templates would be a admin side module to allow tweaking of template variables that we currently do with the hand edits to index.php.
Replicant - July 07 template is a good example of this where this type of admin edit would be a great add-on.
A additional plus to that would be the ability to do this be section etc of site.
Replicant has many vars - imagine this wrapped up in a admin screen with color pickers, image selectors etc.
