Wow... you guys are on the ball! That's what I get for supporting users this morning (darn you users!!!!!!!!)... I miss out on the headlines.
Looks like y'all are having a nice smooth transition to your new browsing experience ;D
First impression: Wow... it didn't install QuickTime or iTunes or the iTunes Helper service on my XP box. This IS new for Apple!
Super Creapy: I went to type in the name of my website and got as far as "www.m" and it dropped down a whole list of links that I've never typed into my browers before. One of the top 15 or so was for the Escape edition of Motorcyclist Magazine... one of my personal favorite magazines, but a website I've never visited before! That's just a little to target specific to be an entirely random list. If it knows that much about me already, should I be concerned that it also came up with MayoClinic.com a few links above that?
Standards Support: Double-clicking on the title bar maximizes the application window... Apple DID pay attention to standards! It even has support for TWO mouse buttons!
Seriously though... I think it really is a faster than FF.
I must say... this was on my "wish-list" for years now...
I was amazed when I read this and was immediately downloading the beta. After installing, I am now finding myself sitting in a sort of glow of amazement and wondering why it took so long for Apple to finally beat MS at their own game.
So much is said about IE's market-share... well what is their TRUE market-share??? If IE wasn't included with every copy of windows, would anyone ever download it??? I think not!!
If I didn't mention it before, I am thrilled at this offering of safari to the windows world.
Thanks for the heads-up and the link.

Daniel Hienzsch - look at the Bookmarks. It apparently imports all your bookmarks. In my case ancient ones from IE I forgot were there as well as all mine from FF. Plus it adds some of its own. I would think you must have hit that site. It did feel kind of creepy - kind of like I wish I had to agree to this somewhere. But on the other hand - makes it sort of "convenient" for those who like that sort of thing. I personally don't like it when my programs anticipate my needs - but maybe I'm in the minority.
Anyway - still very excited about this ability to finally use Safari on my PC- and just in time since I was just starting to upgrade the site where it is important. I totally hate borrowing those school laptops.
