I am using Joomla 1.6 and I need a small e com solution that uses Visa Mastercard Amex not Pray Pal : ) (Pray nobody steals your card number, like they did mine last week) also we use Quickbooks for our merchant account.

You need to have a merchant account - that's what determines weather you can use credit cards or not. Authorize.net or PayJunction are a few you can look at, they support just about every shopping cart out there. If you're looking for something simple check out Ecwid.
PS, you need to get off Joomla 1.6, it doesn't exist anymore and everything you come across will either be 1.7 or 1.5 - you won't find any support for 1.6. - The difficult we do immediately, the impossible takes a little longer.

- Cool. It's hard to say what will happen, but you're using an outdated version of Joomla. 1.6 is not even available for download at this point. At this point, many of our templates have not been officially released for 1.7 yet. You'll have to make that decision on your own, but upgrading is in your future at some point. If it works now, you might not want to mess with it until you're ready. Or you can test it on a local install or copy first.
