Please help me to understand "Module Positions"

Hi,
I am stuck with the concept of Module Position.
On my page I have:
www.artboyinc.com/myjoomla
User 1 - 7
Inset
Newsflash
Footer.
I know that I can add a module to these positions.
How do I control the size and position of each individual module.
I have posted this before so if your moderating, please forgive me but I am hemmed up with this problem.

Hi,
Don't take this the wrong way but if I could find a solution in the Joomla Help Docs I probaly wouldn't post a question in the forum.
If the idea behind joomla is to just folllow along with the template thats alright.
But it has been my experience that clients never take a path that is straight and narrow.
I like Joomla, its definitly very cool.
And since I am not a PHP or CSS master by any means I just need some clarification or direction in regard to module positions

also try to user manual, it explains pretty much all of the basic elements of a joomla template (like modules)

It is not simple to explain as it basically requires to teach you how to create templates which is no easy, if I understand you correctly

Look, I think I am asking a simple question.
Can you or can you not modify the module position?
If you know how then why not tell me or direct me to a tutorial.
If you don't know how then why tell me to read the help files.
If it was clearly stated in the help files I would waste anyones time by posting.

You can with CSS and PHP. But your question is very vague and it could be something simple as changing colours to constructing a set of modules with numerous php functions.
There are a few tutorials from tutorials.rockettheme.com but Google will be your best bet.
To get the best answer, you must ask a more detailed question. Module position, is this just the name or moving the position to another slot etc... - James Spencer / Developer & Support / Hull, UK
