    Joomla error log

Posted 13 years 2 months ago
    • The Joomla 2.51 error log on my development site which is not even live yet, is nearly 10GB in size, increasing at 2GB per day now, and fast consuming all my storage space.

I just updated Mission Control at that alone added and least 2GB to the log size.

The log is so large in fact that I cannot even load it from root in Linux to view it.

The site itself is functioning flawlessly.

Can I just delete this file and switch off error reporting - or at least make it less space consuming?

      Thanks.

Joomla is the only php based resource on my server and mustr be where the errors are originating.

    • You can disable error reporting in the Joomla global configuration but I don't believe that it will turn of php error reporting. You will have to disable it in php.ini file

      Thanks Igor,

I discovered that it is actually an Extension causing the issue - I am a beta tester. The component seems to work fine, but there is alot going on in the background that shouldn't be going on :)
