Site VERY Slow to Load and outbound links leave site

- My website URL is:
www.donnawolfedesigns.com
- My Joomla version number is J-1.7.2
- My Rockettheme template version number is: Maelstrom 1.6.2
- My Gantry version number is 3.2.12
Two major issues I'm finding and wondering if you can direct me to a
solution.
1. Load time is really long
2. Outbound links do not open in a new window and force user to leave
site.
Any help is appreciated-

Hi, I took a look. Not sure if the loading time has anything to do with the template, it could be related to your hosting account / server settings. The progress bar is hanging up before the files load, so I would suspect hosting first.
I couldn't find any external links that didn't open a new window. All your social media links seem to do that. It's just a matter of having target="_blank" inside the code for your links. - The difficult we do immediately, the impossible takes a little longer.

I will call my hosting and see what they say.
It's the links from the images to her Etsy store that lead you off the site. Using RocketGallery
Any suggestions....

- Hi, the RokGallery links were set by you, or whoever set up the gallery, in the slice editor. If you wish for those links to not go to that location, you'll need to remove the links or set the link type in the Module settings to something other than "Link in Slice". The links themselves point to another website so it's not going to stay inside your site if you use those URL's.

New Problem....I updated the Gantry and maybe I shouldn't have. Now my rokgallery does not show description and the text editor does not hold links and formatting??
What could be the problem?

On the links, I did set the links in the slice editor and I do want them to go to the Etsy site but want that to open in a new window so to not leave the site. I tried adding target=_blank in there but that does not do it...
Is there some other way to have it go to the etsy but open in a new window?

Hi, I'm not sure what the issue is, I can't really see your backend settings. I would recommend seeing if there is also an update to RokGallery that might solve this problem, or revert to the backup you made before you upgraded Gantry, which you should have made before you upgraded anything.
On the links, all you can do is set all the links in RokGallery to use the blank attribute by editing the files inside the template directory -> overrides -> mod_rokgallery -> templates. There are folders, each with a defualt.php file inside. Update the <a> tags to have the target="_blank" in side them, then they will always open a new page. That's the only way to do this and it will not be possible to define which links have this behavior and which one do not, they will all open in a blank window.
