Grey box below Showcase 2 module

Hi,
Am using Versatility 4 1.5.3 . . . currently on IE9. Attached is a pix of the problem - the grey bar blow Breadcrumbs which is in Showcase 2 position and above the first article on the home page. The bar is there if there is anything in Showcase 2 or not. Can any one help me get rid of it.
I have spent 2.5 hrs on previous posts and have found similar issues but not this exactly.
