Single Image Modules?

I found this single image module that I really like, but it painstakingly requires that you get precisely the right size image to match the specified width of the module. does anybody know of an extension that is similar but automatically will resize the images to fit in the module depending on how big the module size is?

IMHO, get used to working with your template, understand the width of the main body and sidebars, and adjust images accordingly, also taking into consideration padding, etc.
I don't there is an 'automatic, magic' solution for creating images that fit perfectly 'here and there' besides hiring a developer to do all that for you...
