SOLVED-k2 item scroll funtion (not into module)

Posted 12 years 7 months ago
    • Hello friends!

I have the challenge to make all k2 items displayed on a customized 600x400 scroll box, atwith the ability to scroll donw when k2 item exceeds the box area.

I have seen some modules that allow this type of function, wich is ok for 10 items, but not for almost 90 ittems that will eventually change and update..

is there any k2 plugin I can install to make all k2 items fit into specific range area, without the need for a module, nor several modules to replicate the scrolling effect?

please any advice is very welcome!

      thanks, rgds!

    • thanks, but not really the effect I need to create.

intro is ok, but as soones i click "Read more" will take me to the entire article, and will load a 1000 lines if the article has 1000 lines of content.

lets say I create an 1000 lines article, and assign it to a menu element, when i click the menu option, i need the aticle to pop into a customized 100 lines high box, with the vertical scroll option available to scroll down or up in the article.

the thing is my customer, need to have a "box" look and feel, where he and his visitors can still see the heather and footer of the website, while scolling into article contents, no matter how large the aticle is..

thats why a plugin will be so nice.. or maybe an html code I can put into the article to create the scolling effect.

      like this "post reply" box..

    • Russell,

You can do that if you make the menu item an iFrame Wrapper and select the Target Window to be either a new window without navigation or new window with navigation.

      How about no.number.nl Modalizer? www.nonumber.nl/extensions/modalizer ?

    • Here are 77 entensions for iFrames & pop-up windows extensions.joomla.org/extensions/style-a...ign/popups-a-iframes

I would try NoNumber's Modalizer first. It has a free version & a commercial version with more features. All of Peter's extensions are really outstanding.

It can convert links based on the following methods
There are several ways Modalizer can covert links:

      Via the special Modal tags {modal ...}...{/modal}
By class names (all links with defined class names)
By target="_blank" (all links with a target. Internal and/or external)
By filetypes (all links to given filetypes) PRO ONLY
By url (match URLs via regular expressions) PRO ONLY

    • thanks Yanni!

      I finally got it!

I used a div into the article html code, and placed content into it..th
the problem is that, I had to duplicate all my articles to use that funtionality,,, (i was just so pushed to came up with a solution, so no time to try tools at all  )

sure I will invewstigate more on the tools for next issues!

thanks again! hv a good day!
