    • I did my post in the general forum because I cant access the members forum. So why do a moderator go and move a post by a non member to a forum that requires membership?

That makes posting in this forums for non members pretty useless.

My membership expired about a week ago and I haven't decided if I am going to renew it or not. Maybe I renew it later, but after this... I wonder if it is worth it.

    • What about trying to contact James S! or Andy? Perhaps they'll move it back for you, or try again in the water cooler, thats where I used to put a few of my questions when my membership expired and they weren't moved.

    • Tommy, the moderators such as myself do not know if a Member is active or whether their membership has expired. Therefore, we enact the policy of moving a topic to the appropriate section.

    • Template specific questions should be posted in template specific forums. If you are no longer a member then you should renew if you want to have template specific questions answered. We basically give away our templates for a ridiculously low price because we believe people value the community and the forums and will renew to keep that access. So please if you want to continue to get great help from our awesome members, consider renewing.

Also, as James says, we don't know just from the forums who's a current member and who's not, so don't feel like it was a personal slight against you.

      cheers,

    • Ok, ok, ok. I choose another theme from another place. Tired of script conflicts with the scripts in your themes anyway.

    • FYI Tommy, RT uses mootools, which is the way of the future for Joomla (see J!1.5). Many extensions which use other js libraries will be forced to switch t o mootools as well to ensure compatibility with the new framework.

      Cheers.

    • Thanks. I have already fixed it. I don't use simplix anymore but I use Mootools.

I started this thread with a simple but naive question. I didn't know that I stepped on some toes, maybe mostly my own.

      So let it end here.
