    Google Search - maps location?

Posted 12 years 2 months ago
    • Hello,

I am currently working on a locksmiths website and they need certain parts of the site setup for local towns in the area so for example if they type 'locksmiths in taunton' into google, the 'taunton' page will show for the website and likewise for other locations.

Anyone know of any joomla extensions that could help with this?

The client will be paying for ad-words credit and thinks this will be how the site will work with what I have mentioned above?

      Thanks

    • Hi Chris,

I would suggest SobiPro as this can then give you the option to provide access to each Locksmith to update their own directory entry. It can aslo accommodate a payment structure.

Check out their demo sites - demo.sobi.pro/

      Hope this helps 8)

    • Hi David,

Not sure I was too clear?

It needs to be like the following:

If ou search for a locksmith in weston-super-mare the following site would be shown:

      weston-super-mare-thomson.keytek.co.uk

      and likewise for taunton: taunton.keytek.co.uk

These types of links need to show the site when searching for locksmith in taunton for example in google - the link would take you to the taunton subdomain page of the website.

    • Hi Chris,

Ooops - with you now.

To me that is just good old fashioned SEO work and make sure content and keywords match each site. Less of an issue as it is sub-domains, so you should be able to target the location via keywords.

So if I were to type locksmith essex into Google I would see a sponsored ad for essex.able-locks.co.uk

      Try it and see.

The irony is that the site has a reasonable meta description but no bloody keywords shown!

So I change my original answer to "Haven't seen anything. Sorry"
