Can you combine 2 templates?

I am trying to create a new site, and would like to use features from two templates that I like, and combine them. I love the "fire" template, but need a black and gray template. To go in and alter every image proved to time consuming. Is there a way to take a simple template, a put the fire menu with it?
Better yet - has anyone customized a Fire template to be black and gray??

- Edit the source in Fireworks and have a play - did you check all the styles as I believe there are some dark green variants.

- I started with the green, and began to change the graphics, but I found with all the corners and gradients its almost quicker to start from scratch than to piece together the pieces...

- Making a custom variant with the modern RT templates is an "easy" process or as easy as it can be. First you need to edit the source in Fireworks and export the images. Then you begin to change the CSS file to match, normally, this is quite minimal in understanding.
