now, what is the proper way to remove the /Joomla_RT_Equinox/ part of the URL string? I don't want that showing up when people need to get to any parts of the site.

Hey John,
I am assuming you see www.yoursite.com/Joomla_RT_Equinox/
Is that correct?
If so it means you installed the Rocket Launcher in that folder inside of the root folder. You will need to move all the files into to the root folder itself. You will also need to edit the configuration.php to make it work.
EDIT: to move the files you can use FTP
In the configuration file you will see a lot more than the following, but the text marked red is what you need to get rid of. *Don't copy and paste as this is just an example
$mosConfig_absolute_path = '/home/yourusername/public_html/yoursite/Joomla_RT_Equinox';
$mosConfig_cachepath = '/home/yourusername/public_html/yoursite/Joomla_RT_Equinox/cache';
$mosConfig_live_site = ' yoursite.com /Joomla_RT_Equinox'; - Last Edit: 17 years 5 months ago by Joe K.
