A member can use 2 templates on a three month membership, 3 templates on a 1 year membership and 2 additional templates per 1 year renewal. Pro members can use an unlimited number of templates.
And what happens if a Pro member renews later lifetime with a 1 year membership? Following this scenario he could use an unlimited number of templates (+2 every year...).

When you become a Pro Member, you are only a Pro Member for that year. So you can use an unlimited amount of templates in the 1 year period and any template usage during that year will be for a lifetime.
However, after the end of the year, you cannot use the templates on new sites unless you renew. And, if you renewed with a 1 year standard membership, for that year, you can only use our templates on 3 domains. - James Spencer / Developer & Support / Hull, UK
