    Dumb Move SQL DB Password

    • Need help! Being a moron (newbie) I went and changed the SQL database password with out realizing Joomla needs that password to access the database. Right? Anyway both my sites are unavailable this morning. How can I correct this blunder when I cannot access the admin panel. Hope I am not hosed.

    • Mike, thanks that works great, but doesn't quite solve my problem. Even after changing the password I get this message both at the site and the admin login.

    • If you are talking about the database password, can you not just retrieve the site configuration.php script via ftp and reset the recorded password to the new one that you created?

    • Thanks for all your help. Ian, that worked. I went into the cpanel and configuration.php and changed to the password I created in the SQL db.
