With custom CSS - us Firefox Inspector or one of the other browser developer tools to fine the CSS for one of the existing box variations and then duplicate that and change the styling to how you need.
You didn't say what template or Gantry version so I can't be any more specific.

If you want to change existing one or add new ones - it's the same - you write custom CSS in your custom CSS file.
To create a custom CSS compatible with Gantry 5 please read this http://docs.gantry.org/gantry5/tutorials/adding-a-custom-style-sheet .
Remember to recompile CSS from base outline too.
