    • Hello everyone
For my part, I had seen the wind coming for the past few months. I started working on a copy of my site with Astroid: https://astroidframe.work /.
It's free for the many basic functions and works very well. The pro version isn't very expensive, so I bought it.
I'm in the process of switching my site over to it, it took me 3 days to redo my various templates and menu assignments.
      Courage to all
      Bye Gantry

    • Hello,
Yes, I am also looking at Astroid and Yootheme, but Gantry 5 is incredibly stable without using any damned overrides. It's even working on Joomla 6 alpha. I hope one can salvage the open source framework in some ways.
Anyway thanks to the team for all those years of work.

    • I built and administer the website supporting the U.S. Naval Cryptologic Veterans Association , a 501(c)19 VSO with over 2,000 veteran members. On 12 April 2025, we paid RT to extend our R/T subscription. I emailed RT using the website "Contact Us" form documenting this on 2nd June 2025 and requested our funds be refunded.
I haven't yet received a response - of any kind - to our request.
I know the company is shutting down. However, it doesn't seem ethical to send subscription renewal reminders three weeks before you close the company and shut off all services.

    • It is a true pity that you are shutting down. I have been a member for 18 years and share the excitement of new templates, new feature, new design every time a new template was coming out. It was so much fun.

The way you designed your very own website, including the functionality and design that you put into Kunena (this forum), is phenomenal. I wish you can leave the documentation behind on how you did it. Seriosly, this is the best forum design I have ever come across. It is a masterpiece.

I would love have more insight why you are shutting down the company, Andy. You would have seen the business trends and lead indicators more than anyone. Do you see Joomla in decline? Do you have anything else that you would like to leave your customers with that you think is important?

Have you every offered it for sale?

It is always tough when you have to make business decisions like this, and I wish you and your team all the best for the future. You did such an amazing job, and your legacy will remain with the good experience we had as members.

I have commercial clients and started to change over to Yootheme, too.

To all Rockettheme users: which would be the best platform to continue the discussion of the former user group after the end of June, just in case? Any suggestions?

With the very best wishes for Andy and his team,
      Matthias

At a second thought, I've renewed my membership and downloaded all the templates, hoping that someone will pick up Gantry 5 development... My only request is: is it possible to create a repository with the documentation for all the themes/templates?
It could be useful for implementing new websites. Thanks a lot for your time!

I was thinking this exact same thing! I just downloaded all the Gantry 5 templates for Joomla. I would really like to know what will happen to the documentation for them and the general documentation for Gantry 5 at docs.gantry.org .

how long will the templates work, I'm not seeing a clear answer!!!

Michael, I believe the best answer is the one that Roger provided saying:

      Roger Clarke wrote:
Joomla 5 has over 2 years before it is out of support and php 8.2 until end of 2026. So at least 18 months before things should become an issue. Long before then it should become clear if Gantry has a future - if it does then hopefully all good for now, although presumably the templates themselves may have issues with php8.3 / Joomla 6.

I'll add that Joomla 6 will most likely come with it's own Backwards Compatibility plugin like Joomla 5, and if it does, it means there is a possibility the Gantry 5 Framework & Templates will continue to work for some time to come.

FYI, Whole RocketTheme documentation was always available on github: github.com/rockettheme/docs/

      Hello Karol,
Thank you for letting us know about this resource. However, the Gantry documentation at docs.gantry.org is not listed there, but I was able to find the Gantry docs repo under the Gantry Github account. For everyone else looking for this, you can find it here:
      github.com/gantry/docs

      kind regards,
