Re: Missing file

    • I just tried to install the RT_Firenzie template and it told me the setup .php file was missing. I downloaded the rocket launch package and it didn't work. Further, in the tutorial, there is no "Installers" menu. There is only install/uninstall under extensions. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

    • I'm guessing you have to extract the files on your computer first? Anyone?

    • Hello,

To install the regular template package in Joomla 1.5 using the admin template installer, go to Extensions > Install / Uninstall. Next, under the "Upload Package file" section, browse to your "rt_firenzie_j15.tgz" file that you downloaded (the regular Joomla 1.5 template package). Then click Install. This should install the template into Joomla.

Alternatively, you can unzip the package and upload the "rt_firenzie_j15" folder directly to the /templates directory in your Joomla install. This will make the template available in your template manager.

    • The message still says: Error! Could not find a Joomla! XML setup file in the package.
Path does not have a valid package

What do you think is going on?

    • another note...the file on my computer when I download it is a .zip file...not a .tgz file.

    • The RocketLauncher package (Joomla_RT_Firenzie_j15.zip) wont install through the joomla installer, as it is itself a Joomla install. So it requires a very different installation process, as it installs joomla as well as the template and demo settings.

Regarding installing the regular template package, I'm not sure what could be causing the issue here. The "rt_firenzie_j15.tgz" package is the correct installation package and contains the necessary xml setup information to be installed via the Joomla template installer. So long as you select the "rt_firenzie_j15.tgz" in the install page using the browse option, it should install normally.

As a workaround, you might try uploading the "rt_firenzie_j15" folder directly to the /templates directory. This "installs" the template, so no further action is necessary. After you have done this, you should be able to go to the template manager and make Firenzie your default template.
