When moving my first site to Rochen this weekend, I figured this one out. Thanks, Andy.
If only I can figure out why the db I created was set to Latin1_Swedish collation I would be good to go.
I imported my local install, all went well, but couldn't access the database and pull the site up...finally figured out the user was not added to the db...got me closer...and wasn't until I changed the collation did I get in. Strange.
