JoomlaPack could be another solution. It's open-source and easy to install. With this component, you can create a full site backup which contains an installer (derived from the standard Joomla installer). Use this to restore your backup on another server.
You can also make a backup of only your database if you want.

Kylan,
I have little more work to do on the site. As soon as my client gives me the go ahead to pull the trigger. I will let you know how it goes and post it.

I have the same concerns you do.
So you have already used JoomlaCloner previously?
Steve
Hey, Steve! No, I've not used JoomlaCloner before. The hosting service I uses has an ftp manager in the control panel and all I did was zip the public html folder, move it, and then unzip it in a new location. It was obvious that there was a lot of confusion in the database, though. Unfortunately I didn't have enough familiarity (and I haven't taken enough time) to figure out how to straighten all of that out.
A guy who works w/ me tried JoomlaPack and didn't have much success. Same issues w/ the database.
I'll be buying JoomlaCloner soon and hope it works.
