Vortex - migrate from Joomla 1.0 to 1.5

I am using Vortex template for my Joomla 1.0 site and trying to upgrade to 1.5.
However, I find that the image of the ButtonMenu cannot be shown. I have checked the generated html source and found that "itemX" is shown in the css style for the menu item.
My subscription is already expired and cannot search in the template specific forum. I find it very odds as I cannot use my template as I have paid for it.
Could anybody help me on this?
